Tepeji

Tepeji (click if you know Spanish):We worked at another mission church today in the state of Hidalgo.  It was cool because the pastor used to be the youth pastor at Dios Es Amor in La Quebrada, the church that the group from Cornerstone always works with.  We went around handing out invitations to the church and prayer walking the area around the church.  Then we went to various houses to eat lunch and fellowship with the families from the church.  I got to go to the pastor’s house.  We had a great time together talking about what God is doing in our lives.

Today’s pictures

Below are some various pictures from today and yesterday with the group. Click on one to enlarge it. Thanks for praying for us.

Everything’s fine

I’ve gotta hand it to you: Some of you will remember that I dislocated my middle finger about a month ago playing basketball.  Well, we went back to the doctor today, and I will now be having a little physical therapy on my hand to speed up the healing process.  Nothing is broken, but I still can’t bend it all the way.  Please pray for it to heal quickly.  Thanks.

A full day

A full day: Today was a full day, too, with the group. They helped out at the church, cleaning the carpet on their hands and knees, cleaning all the windows and floors, and basically helping in whatever way they could. Then they ate at the “Taqueria.” You can see Joel cutting the meat for the tacos in the picture above. Afterwards, we went to Samuel’s house to have a youth meeting. It was a great time of Christian fellowship with the entire group.

Pictures from today

Pictures from today: We spent a lot of time at the church today, sort of taking some time to talk about what’s happening in the lives of the group and the families they are living with. We visited a family that attends the church, and had a good time with them. Two of their kids are in the youth group at the church. Joel (the one in the middle picture above on the left) gave the Bible study at the house on being close to God. We had a great time of ministry.

Painting the playground

Painting the playground: Today we took the group to the seminary to paint the playground there. The group worked really hard doing the scraping, cleaning, painting, and yardwork. Then we came to our house to eat lunch. After lunch we went to one of the girls’ house from the church and had a great time of fellowship, worship, and Bible study. It was a great day! Check out the pictures of the playground and lunch at our house above. If you click it, you can see it fullsized.
