So, I finished up the wedding ceremony video last night. It was a lot of fun. I learned a lot about video production, and I think it turned out pretty well. It’s a lot better than the video we have of our wedding, which didn’t turn out at all. Of course, the photographer kept getting in my way (and everyone’s way) during the wedding, but she didn’t seem to mind at all. I mean, right at the kiss the bride, she stands up in the middle of the aisle to snap a shot, in front of the entire crowd. Frustrating. Oh well, at least they’ll have a picture of their kiss to mail to the 200 people who couldn’t see it because she was in the way. I still have a lot of video to edit, and I want to put it on a DVD for them. We’ll see how that works out. No time today, though. I got lots to do before tomorrow.

I made it back to Mexico City last night, and I just finished my seminary class for the day. I’m extremely tired, but I have a lot of things to do. Here’s my list:

I found out today that Israel and Lupita had their baby girl yesterday morning. Her name is Nora Gabriela. She weighed in at 3 kilograms, about the same that Nathan weighed when he was born. I talked to them both today, and they are very happy. We’re planning on visiting them tomorrow.
The crazy thing about this horrible story is that we were just on that road Friday. It really is a very dangerous road with lots of curves and drops.
Okay, so we are almost packed for our trip to Veracruz. We will be leaving early tomorrow morning to try to get out of the city before most people wake up. We’ll see how well we do with that. We’ll be out of town for about a week, so there will be little updating on the site. I don’t know how much internet access there will be where we are going (nor how much I really want).
Tuesday, I’ll be giving a conference and promoting the seminary to about 350 young people at a congress for the south of the country. Huberto and Oscar will be there, too, giving their own workshops. Please pray for us and them as we share about how youth ministry revolves around relationships.
I got a phone call this morning from Salomon, the president of the Baptist Student Union here in Mexico. He’s the guy I’ve been working with on the workshops. He told me that Huberto and Oscar could get a 50% discount on a bus ticket with their student IDs. Then, he told me that he had enough money from somewhere to pay for one of their trips. That left us with only a $50 need, which is a lot more manageable than a $200 need. That’s cool how God provides! Anyway, just thought I’d let you know about that.
