Yesterday, I was at the seminary, and I called Janell like I usually do after chapel. There was no answer. I tried to call our friends’ house, too, but there was no answer. I figured Janell had just gone out with Tina. So I stayed at the seminary to finish up some work. I decided to try to call again, but I got no answer this time, either. So I was getting a little worried. I decided to go home.
When I got home, I heard Nathan yelling, “Daaaaadaaa.” They were on the side porch where the washer and dryer are. Apparently, Nathan had locked them out. So Janell was there with Nathan locked in a little porch for more than an hour. I guess I learned that if they don’t answer the phone I should come straight home.
Janell and Nathan made it home tonight! Woo hoo! Bachelor week is over! No more manly movies, but plenty of fun with the family in this next week. I’m so glad they’re back! Yippy!
Everyone who we were keeping the secret from now knows where Janell and Nathan are this week. They left early on Thursday morning to go to Florida to visit our family.
It was recently all of our parents’ birthdays, so we decided that they should see their grandson for a week. My mom was the last to find out today, and she told me that she was really surprised. I can’t believe we pulled it off.
I’m glad they are there. It’s good for the family to get to see Nathan, and it’s good for Nathan to see the family. They come home next Saturday, just in time for my birthday on Sunday. Oh, the trip is also part of Janell’s birthday present. So everyone wins out in the end.
Since Janell and Nathan are a little sick, we decided to rest on Sunday. We took the day off and really just watched football. It was a lot of fun, since we have Sunday Ticket. We can watch every NFL game on Sundays, with English commercials and commentators. It’s great. Watching football with fantasy football on your mind is pretty nerve racking, though. It gives you a lot more to think about. Oh, well, it was a good day.
