Have you ever felt like giving up? It’s pretty easy to do when life becomes difficult or when things just don’t seem to go our way. Often, God uses someone around us to speak His Word to us and remind us to keep going.

Every once in a while, I get an incredible comment that I’d like to share with you.

Recently, on my YouTube channel where I post videos encouraging and equipping Spanish speaking youth workers, I received the following comment. I hope it encourages you to speak a word of encouragement to someone today.

Here is my translation of the comment from Spanish to English:

I was traveling in public transportation when I received notification of the video, and I didn’t want to watch it right away because I knew that the word would tell me to do exactly the opposite of what I was thinking at the time, which was abandon my work in the church and simply continue attending like any other person who fulfills their duty to give, tithe, and perhaps give to some mission.

This week I started studying in a Bible institute in my city hoping to find God in His Word, thinking that it would help me teach better, but seeing that our youth group has not “prospered” (usually associated with number of people), I thought: “I’ve given enough of my time and energy to people who do not value it.” If my goal is to work on my character and become like Christ, I was very far away from achieving it. Thank you for the video and the Word. It felt like we were talking together or having a conversation in the same place.

I am going to keep on working because I know it is necessary, because I want to serve, and because I love God for his grace deposited in me, that each day blows my mind when I think about His love.

Blessings.

How many of us have felt like giving up in the work that God has given to us, but someone stepped in and said something that made us remember how much God loves us and how much He is working in our lives?

(Be sure to read the email I received from Aruba the other day, too)
