Our first day of homeschool started off a little later than we had thought. The kids all slept in, so that means the parents did, too. After breakfast we were ready to start school.

Nathan did great, except for a few little things. The “Handwriting without tears” book didn’t come with a no tear guarantee. It was the most difficult time of the day. Not because Nathan doesn’t know how to write, but because the paper that came with the book was different than the kind of paper he had used in Kindergarten. He was upset, but he overcame it and finished the work.

It’s quite an adventure to do school with a one year old baby crawling around. That will be something we try to work on, but overall, the first day went well. Here are some pictures.
