Honduras – Day 2

Honduras – Day 2

Today I had a great meeting with Juan Carlos, a pastor in Honduras.

We talked about the need for youth leadership training in this country. We talked about the system of theological education here. We talked about what his church is doing in youth ministry, and we talked about some possible opportunities for the future. Tomorrow, I’m meeting with him again and with the pastor who is a leader in the regional association.

One thing is for sure. It’s hot in Honduras. It was really hot here today, but I had a great day. I feel like I got a lot accomplished. It’s been a fun trip so far. As a bonus, I got to eat at Wendy’s for lunch, which we don’t have in Mexico.

So, I’m having fun with a good friend of mine, getting work done, and eating good food. Not bad for a short trip.

Honduras – Day 1

Our flights to Honduras were great. We had no problems and arrived on time. We stopped in El Salvador first and then made a great landing in Tegucigalpa.

Then Rob took me to a great place called El Patio. It’s a typical Honduran restaurant, and we had a steak called “El Conquistador.” It was the best steak I’ve had in a while. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, too. So far, I like this country! Stay tuned for more.

A Quick Trip

A Quick Trip

Tomorrow, I’m leaving for a quick trip to Honduras. I’m going to be investigating what’s happening there as far as youth ministry is concerned, and I’ll be looking for future opportunities to work in that country.

One of my long term goals is to have contacts in each country in Latin America, so I’m going with my friend who was a missionary there, and I’m hoping to get to connect with some new people down there. I’ll be back on Wednesday. I’ll be posting from there, so keep up with the trip here.
