Although, we wouldn’t make this for the reasons the author would make it, maybe Pepto-Bismol ice cream isn’t such a bad idea for those who are going to visit Mexico.
Every time a group comes for a short-term trip here to Mexico, someone gets sick. Some people say it’s Moctezuma’s revenge; I usually say it’s because they’re dehydrated. Anyway, maybe we should whip up some of this stuff next time a group is coming. Yummy!
When I went to Acapulco with 50 other students from Gordon College, we were told to eat a small piece of fresh coconut each morning, that it kills bacteria. Each morning, they would serve that with breakfast and I ate it – I never got sick. On that trip, only 3 students got sick – they all had had ice in their drinks at the same restaurant! Not bad for such a large group! (Of course, I’m not counting the illness we all felt when we saw that cockroach the size of our thumbs in our bathroom one night!!)
