I took a quick trip to Oaxaca this past weekend to teach the final class in the certificate program there. I left early Friday morning, taught that evening, all day on Saturday, quickly visited the zocalo (downtown square), and then came back to Mexico City.

I had a great time with the students there. We finished up their year long program and are planning to have a graduation ceremony something in August or September (after they turn in their final homework).

One of the great things about this program was that it was the initiative of Juan, one of our graduates from the Bachelor’s program in Mexico City. He taught half of the classes. Then the rest of our team stepped up and taught the others. I only taught the last module of the program, but I am sure they have received a great education. I am proud of our team and of the students. They have worked really hard to complete the certificate program.

Oaxaca is a beautiful city. It was my first time there. I am looking forward to go back.
