I’m teaching a seminary class on camps this January in Cuba, and part of the pre-class assignments for the students is to talk about their personal experiences as well as the experiences of others with camping as it relates to their spiritual life, their calling, and the commitment.
I’d love it if you could post a comment here or a post on your own blog that talks about this. Here are a few questions that might get you thinking and posting:
- What was your experience as a camper like and how did that impact your life?
- What has been your experience as a leader with camps or retreats in youth ministry? Do you think they are a valuable experience for your students? Why or why not?
- Do you have a specific testimony of how God has worked in your life at a camp or retreat? Do you believe that the fact that it was at a camp or retreat influenced the experience that you had?
