This weekend Dennis took a trip to Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, to teach the day long seminary “El Gran Viaje.” This is the same conference that he taught in Veracruz earlier this month. It was a quick trip from Friday to Sunday, and he used all of his time there to talk about youth ministry.

On Friday evening, we invited the local church pastors to a meeting to talk about what is happening with the young people of the region. They talked about many issues, and it was a great time of talking about what the church can do to better minister to young people and their families. Many of these pastors came on Saturday to the training.

Saturday from 9 AM to 5 PM we had the youth ministry training, with about 80 people in attendance. They were very involved in the training, and we talked about where we are, where we want to go, and how we can get there. This entire training comes out of Youth Ministry International’s Biblical philosophy of youth ministry that we teach all over the world.

On Sunday, Dennis preached in the First Baptist Church of Coatzacoalcos and then had to quickly get to the bus station to make it to the airport in time to catch the plane and make it home.

Overall, it was a fantastic weekend of youth ministry training.

Here’s a picture of Paco, the youth leader who invited us to this training and organized the entire thing. He did a fantastic job.
