Time with the family

Chapel at MCCA went well this morning. I sure have missed hanging out with those kids. I spoke on Noah and how he pleased God. I think I surprised them when I explained that God had been so angry that He wanted to destroy all of mankind. I hope it made sense and that they learned something about their own personal walk with God.

I spent the afternoon with Janell and Nathan, and then we went to a monthly missionary fellowship at the Torbert’s house. We had a good time. Tomorrow, we are meeting with our friends Tim and Annette for lunch. I’m looking forward to that.

Another crazy weekend coming up

Nathan goes to the doctor again tomorrow for a check-up. Tomorrow night is Bible Study with the MCCA kids at our house. After the Bible Study, I’m going to church for a prayer meeting from 9pm-12am. Saturday (my birthday), I think I’m going to Six Flags with the Torberts. Sunday night is youth group at church. Monday is my “day off.” I don’t know what we’re doing then. Probably grocery shopping. Tuesday is class (as usual), and I am preaching in chapel (unusual). It will be the first time I have preached in chapel since last year. The topic is “vigilance.” It should be interesting.

Busy few weeks

Okay…so it’s been forever since I’ve updated this page. We’ve been extremely busy. I feel like I’ve got to write something here about the last few weeks. First, the conference in Mazatlan went awesome. Here’s a video of it on the vlog. Then the group from Indiana came and helped us with a Bible school for the kids of Atizapan. That went well, too. We had about 50 kids per day come to MCCA to sing, learn, and play. I’ll post a video about that, too, when I get some high speed internet. We arrived in Florida last Monday. We are spending time with family and connecting with friends. Janell’s grandma Graham passed away this week, so we are spending a lot of time with the family. Please pray for us. It’s been a crazy few weeks.

Puebla trip

Us in Puebla - ParianFriday and Saturday, we went on a trip to Puebla, Mexico. It’s about 3 hours away from where we live in Mexico City. The MCCA kids were at camp down there, and we went with our friends the Torberts to pick up their kids. Puebla is an interesting town, and it has a lot of good shopping, food, and history. We had a great time. We also got to meet some other missionaries who are working with college students. We had a great time. We made a video of the trip. Also, check out our pictures of the volcanos and also of the Cathedral in Puebla.
