Good Bye Friends

Family photo

Over the years, we’ve taken lots of pictures of our friends the Torberts. This one was taken of them today at their good-bye party.

I can’t believe they are leaving. We’ve lived 2 streets away from them for the last 3 years, and we’re over their house at least twice a week. We’re going to miss them a lot.

They’re moving back to Nashville. We wish them the best and will keep praying for them as they move on to a different type of ministry.

Here’s a video I made of them back in 2004. It always makes me laugh.

And here’s a video from today:

Weather in Mexico City

Lately, it’s been pretty hot in Mexico City. The weather has reached over 30 degrees Centigrade (86 F) a lot lately. March is the hottest month, and it’s been hotter than usual this year. The federal government has issued warnings, reminding people to take precaution when going out for long periods of time.

We have a great way to beat the heat. We play in the sprinkler.

A Quick Easter Update

We went to church at Capital City Baptist Church, and English speaking church in Mexico City, since Easter isn’t celebrated that much in Mexican churches. It seems like Good Friday is celebrated more here than Easter Sunday.

We invited two students from the Seminary over for Easter dinner, and we tried to explain to them how we celebrate Easter in the USA. We had great food, great company, and lots of fun playing with Nathan’s Easter present.

Here are some home video clips from Easter.
