By the way, this weekend is the first ever NFL regular season game outside of the US, and I have tickets, because it will be played in Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca. I am going with my friend Rob and his son. It’s going to be a blast. There is a lot of hype about it on the web, so if you want to check out some of the information, here are some links for you.

The pastor of our church in Mexico and his family left today for Houston. I took them to the airport this morning, leaving the house at 4:30 am. It is always a sad time to see someone leave, even if you know they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. I preached at their “despedida” (good bye party), and I said that we are not leaving a pastor, but sending a missionary. Houston is the 4th largest city in the USA with a large hispanic population.
Josue and his family will be missed by us here in Mexico, but I am sure they will be blessed for having followed what they believe is God’s will for their life. They have been very good friends for Janell and I and have helped us with a lot of things during the first 2 years here. Still, it’s hard to say goodbye. Unfortunately, the life of a missionary is a life of goodbyes.
Nathan is 5 months old today. This was the first time and probably the last time that he will wear this outfit. He is getting so big. We had a good day at church today. Then we went out to eat tacos at Los Arcos, one of our favorite taquerias. Also, we watched football and ate ice cream. We got home too late to order pay-per-view Miami Dolphins, but we saw online that they beat the Panthers. Instead, we watched the football that we get on Fox Sports Latin America. Nathan enjoys watching football with me. We had fun.

Some things on the horizon:
- Today: 3 classes and a small group
- Friday night: MK Bible Study UPDATE: went fine with around 8.
- Saturday night: Church youth meeting UPDATE: There were 7. We had a great time.
- Sunday morning: Church service
- Monday morning: I lead devotional at seminary UPDATE: The devotional went well. We also went to get $ from the cell phone company, and we had time to hang out and watch a movie. Then we ate dinner at Toni Roma’s. Not a bad day at all.
- October 2: I preach at church AND youth group night UPDATE: I go to the first ever regular season NFL game outside the US at night. Rigo speaks at youth group.
- October 3: Chapel at MCCA
- October 11: I preach at seminary chapel
Maybe I can fit in sleeping somewhere in there. Or hanging with the family.

I just found this link to us on Missionary-blogs.com. It’s a post about our recent videos about Mexican Independence Day on the vlog. It’s also a pretty cool website, so check it out.
