Okay, so if you know me, you know that I am a big Michael Jordan fan. Maybe you don’t know that. But I was a HUGE Jordan fan in high school when I played basketball. Anyway, I was checking out Youtube.com today, and I found all of these old (and not so old) Air Jordan commercials. Those were good times. I can’t guarantee that these commercials will be up forever, so enjoy them while you can.

I’m not sure if this is good or bad. According to this article a district school board in Illinios is going to be monitoring students’ blogs. Not only that, they will be making students who want to participate in extracurricular activities sign a pledge saying that they agree to disciplinary action if the school board finds “illegal or inappropriate” behavior posted on the internet. The question that I have is, “What is inappropriate behavior?” What do you think?
In March, David Boyter came to the seminary to give a conference on Biblical Storytelling. I really enjoyed the conference, and I thought I could use it in my classes in the future. If you understand Spanish, it’s worth checking out. It reenforces a lot of what I believe about preaching and teaching.
Here’s the MP3.

Today is Carson’s birthday. He is definitely one of the coolest kids I know, and I am so glad it’s his birthday today. Since it’s his birthday, we get to eat at Ruby Tuesday’s for dinner and eat cake and ice cream at his house. For real, though, Carson is a great guy, even if he always beats me at PS2 or Gamecube or whatever we choose to play. This picture is the one his mom sent out to announce his birthday. Classic.
Mexico’s soccer team is on its way to the World Cup. But, according to this article by Reuters, they didn’t leave until they sought divine intervention in the Basillica de Guadalupe.
I know, it’s hard to believe they didn’t invite me to participate in the farewell ceremony, but that’s okay.
In other soccer news, Pachuca defeated San Luis today in final of the Mexican soccer league. Too bad, too, because we know the wife of the San Luis coach. Oh well. There’s always next season (they play two seasons per year).
