HOREB and SION: Sunday was a busy day as we went to 2 churches. The first one was called Sion (Zion) Baptist Church. We had the opportunity to share about the importance of youth ministry in the local church – about how God loves, calls, and uses young people. We shared the fact that the population of Mexico is getting younger and the churches need to empower their young people to reach their friends. For the evening service, we attended Horeb Baptist Church. The pastor of this church is the president of the National Baptist Convention of Mexico. They have specific ministries to 4 groups of young people. Horeb is a church that is growing, and they are excited about youth ministry. |
