The Mexico Mighty Muggles

Here you have it. After long hours trying to figure out how to pre-draft players, our fantasy football league draft was this morning at 5. Here’s the team I ended up with. I’m a little low on receivers, and I’m trying to pick some up on waivers. We’ll see how it works out.

Are you ready for some football?

We’re planning our menu for Thursday night’s opener between Miami and Pittsburgh. Right now, it’s looking like we’ll be making:

  • Chicken Wings
  • Mozzarella sticks
  • Jalapeño poppers

Yummy! Maybe we’ll add some other stuff to the menu, too. I’m looking forward to this football season. It’s going to be interesting to see if the Dolphins can get the AFC East title. We bought Sunday Ticket (cheap, too), I started a fantasy football league, and Nathan is going to learn what it means to be a football fan! It’s going to be fun.

When in Mexico

jalapeno.jpgWe decided to clean out the ugly planter in our back yard and plant an herb garden. I decided that I would plant some chilis. So, we bought some jalapeños, cayenne peppers, chilis serranos, and chilis habaneros. With any luck, in a few months it might be a good crop of peppers. Janell is planting some herbs like cilantro and basil. She’s also planting some onions and zucchini. We’ll see how they do with us caring for them.

Fantasy Football Anyone?

fantasyfootball.jpgSo, I started a Fantasy Football League over at ESPN.com, but we still need a few teams to participate in the league. If you want to play, leave a comment and I’ll send you an invite. It’s hard to get teams when you don’t know a lot of people who you think might be interested in playing fantasy football. Anyway, leave a comment and I’ll hook you up.
