We’re planning our menu for Thursday night’s opener between Miami and Pittsburgh. Right now, it’s looking like we’ll be making:
- Chicken Wings
- Mozzarella sticks
- Jalapeño poppers
Yummy! Maybe we’ll add some other stuff to the menu, too. I’m looking forward to this football season. It’s going to be interesting to see if the Dolphins can get the AFC East title. We bought Sunday Ticket (cheap, too), I started a fantasy football league, and Nathan is going to learn what it means to be a football fan! It’s going to be fun.
So, I started a Fantasy Football League over at ESPN.com, but we still need a few teams to participate in the league. If you want to play, leave a comment and I’ll send you an invite. It’s hard to get teams when you don’t know a lot of people who you think might be interested in playing fantasy football. Anyway, leave a comment and I’ll hook you up.

It may only be pre-season, but it always makes me feel good when the Dolphins beat the Bucs. Living in Tampa Bay as a Miami Dolphins fan has always been frustrating, because the Tampa press doesn’t talk about anything but Tampa Bay’s football team. It’s as if there are no other teams in the state. So, when Miami comes “to town” and beats the Bucs, it’s great for those of us who are Dolphins’ fans.
I’m pretty psyched about football season. We’ve got NFL Sunday ticket this year, so we’ll get to watch tons of games. It’s gonna be fun.
I just found out that Ricky Williams is going to be playing in the CFL this year.

Dolphins beat Patriots for 6th win in a row
We went to Janell’s sisters house to watch football today. We mostly watched the Bucs game, but I also got to see that the Dolphins won their sixth straight game. The season is over for them, but they finished the season strongly, which was a huge improvement over last season. Nick Saban should get some votes for coach of the year.
Janell’s dad also fixed the brakes in the Bonnie, so we can get around town now. I still have to finish preparing for my upcoming trip (more on that later), and we have some people to visit. It should be a busy next few days.
Yeah!!!! Two sports reasons to be happy today:
San Diego ends Indianapolis Colts’ hopes for perfect season, keeping the ’72 Dolphins as the only undefeated team in history.
Miami beats New York Jets. Unfortunately, because San Diego won, Miami is out of the playoff race. They are, however, at .500. Plus, remember, they beat San Diego last week.
