Today I realized how little time we have before we go back to the US for our 4 month assignment there. I have to finish grading for MJ 130, finish teaching MJ 140, prepare for the leadership workshop I’m giving in Mazatlan this weekend, help plan the summer schedule for the youth ministry at church, lead a group/Backyard Bible club next week, and pack, among other things. It’s going to be a crazy week and a half. We leave Mexico on March 28, the day after Easter. We’ll be there until the end of July. It’s going to be strange, but we’re really looking forward to seeing our friends and family. Of course, we’re looking forward to the arrival of Baby Poulette, too!
Friday and Saturday, we went on a trip to Puebla, Mexico. It’s about 3 hours away from where we live in Mexico City. The MCCA kids were at camp down there, and we went with our friends the Torberts to pick up their kids. Puebla is an interesting town, and it has a lot of good shopping, food, and history. We had a great time. We also got to meet some other missionaries who are working with college students. We had a great time. We made a video of the trip. Also, check out our pictures of the volcanos and also of the Cathedral in Puebla.
Well…I’m feeling better today. I finally got rid of my headache that I had all day today. Tomorrow we’re going to Puebla for fun. It will be a great day. I’m looking forward to it.
We went to the doctor yesterday, even though I’ve been sick. He looked at the 4D ultrasound, heard the heartbeat, and is sending Janell to get some bloodwork done. He said there are no problems with the baby and that everything is perfectly normal. We’re happy about that. We even got to eat Krispy Kremes again. We go back on the 17th of March.
So, I’m preaching today at church. This will be my 4th or 5th time preaching in Spanish. I have a horrible sore throat. Please pray for me as I try to get through it. The text is 2 Corinthians 5:11-20, and the topic is “The cualities of an ambassador for Christ.” I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes.
