Today, I was in the bathroom, and I saw the biggest bug I’ve ever seen. It was disgusting. So, Janell handed me some spray to kill it with. I took a picture of the crime scene. It was disgusting. I have never seen a bug so gross. Most of you already know how much of a girly man I am when it comes to bugs, so this one about made me crazy. Well…we killed it. Hopefully, we don’t see any more like that one again.
So, tomorrow is the last day of the first week of classes at the seminary. It has been a good week, overall. The first day of class, I arrived late because I thought the class time had been changed. I have been putting in a lot of hours at the seminary, so I am tired. I have class two times a week at 7 am. The work doesn’t stop on the weekend. Saturday nights are youth meetings at church. Sundays are services at church. Monday is a good day to rest when there is no faculty meeting. Hopefully, I’ll get some rest this weekend. Maybe Sunday? Who knows.

Last night was the first night of our new school year at the youth ministry of Dios Es Amor. There were 10 of us in total at the youth meeting. Most of the young people who were there were new. In fact, the ones who regularly come weren’t there. I don’t know what happened. I shared the vision of how we are to be disciples and make disciples of Christ. It was a good night, and I had fun. It was a lot of set up, but Israel helped, and I am pretty sure the study and meeting went well. It seemed well planned out and everything went according to plan. We will be meeting now every Saturday at 6 pm.
I’m busy this week preparing for my classes at the seminary. Class starts next Tuesday, so I’ve been translating, thinking, and praying about the content of the classes I will be teaching this quarter. They are: Principles of youth ministry and Foundations of youth ministry 1. Should be a good quarter.
Tomorrow, we will be “presenting” Nathan to our church in Mexico. It is the same thing as the dedication we did in Florida. It should be fun. It is also the last Sunday our pastor will be at our church. I will be preaching more and helping out more at the church in his absence. Hopefully, we’ll find a new pastor soon.
Today our friends, the Torberts, came back to Mexico. We picked them up at the airport. Then we went to eat at Los Arcos with them. I also got asked to perform a wedding ceremony today. It was pretty busy.
