So, Janell is at the store and Nathan is napping, so I can update on what I was doing last week. Well, I was in a place called Santiago, teaching a Master’s class to 12 students. The class was Programming for Youth Ministry, and I’m training students to be teachers at Centers for Youth Ministry in their country. It was the second time I was there, and there’s a lot to tell you about. It’s funny how you can visit a place two times and feel like you have a family there. Anyway, my class went well. They are awesome students and really stretch me as a teacher. The photo is of our classroom with me teaching. Great stuff. I’ll write more about this trip later.
I just got back today from a week-long intensive class in a different part of the world. It went well. Maybe I’ll write more on it later. For now, it’s time to spend some good time with my family. It’s good to be home and back with them.

The World Cup starts next week, so check out fifaworldcup.com and ussoccer.com to stay up to date. Check out this commercial, too.
Here are some stats about the World Cup from Finding Direction:
- The top ranked team is Brasil
- 12 cities in Germany will be hosting the games
- 7 teams have never played in the World Cup before
- Freddie Ljungberg from the Swedish team is concerned that migraine attacks could knock him out of the World Cup
- Brasil won the last World Cup in 2002, beating Germany
Well…I was supposed to be driving to Miami today, but that’s not happening due to some visa related issues with the country I was going to be visiting. It turns out we can’t get them until Monday, meaning we can’t travel until Tuesday. So, I’ve been on the phone working like a maniac trying to get the most for the ministry money we are spending. So, I’ve called students, bosses, hotels, etc, all day. We are escaping without spending too much money, but we are still going to have a scar in the finances because of the changes. Anyway, I’ll be on my way to Miami on Tuesday. Class will start on Wednesday, and all will be fine.
We finally got in to Tampa this evening. More details soon, but at least you know we’re safe. Got…to…get…sleep.
