Do You Like Mexican Food?

People always ask us if we like Mexican food. The answer is, “Of course!” We don’t go out to eat very much, but we’ve had some great Mexican food this week.

Tonight we ordered “tacos al pastor”. We got 10 of them for 60 pesos. They were delicious, with marinated pork, onions, pineapple, and cilantro. They are so good. I’ve heard people say that the best tacos in Mexico are in Mexico City.

Earlier this week, we were out and I was hungry. So we stopped at a little place and ate some food. I ate a gordita, and Janell ate a huarache. A gordita is like a stuffed tortilla. A huarache is a huge flat corn tortilla with lettuce, cheese, onions, and meat on it. We are lucky to live in Mexico!

A Big Thank You

We got two emails back-to-back today. One was from a church group who had sent us a special financial gift, and the other was from some old friends who have begun to regularly support our family and ministry.

It’s always great to get those kinds of emails. We appreciate everyone who prays and gives so that we can be here in Mexico doing what we feel God has for us to do. A big thank you to all of you.

USA vs Costa Rica soccer

This was one of the best finishes to a soccer game I’ve ever seen. The USA pulled out a tie in a game that they should have won, due to the amount of chances they had. Still, though, you’ve gotta love the fact that they kept playing until the very end and scored with 30 seconds left in the game.

Ice Cream Interview with the boys

Ice Cream Interview with the boys

We bought some good ice cream from Costco, and last night the boys were munching down on it. I decided to take the time to ask Nathan about what kind of ice cream and cake he likes. He was quite talkative. Then Benjamin decided to show us how he likes to eat an ice cream cone.
