Free Productivity Tool
I was talking with Janell about productivity, and I told her that I needed a timer to keep track of my work during the day. I was thinking that I needed to use an egg timer to focus myself on one task. Then I got to thinking about how cool it would be to have an egg timer on my computer.

I realized that even though it was easy for me to relate with certain types of students, if my ministry was going to be effective and really expand for His glory, I needed to be willing to reach out to the “unreachable” with what really matters – satisfaction through Jesus!

As I was connecting with the students and praying about how God was going to use us, for some reason I kept noticing that Todd wasn’t really joining in. He was there but he was kind of disconnected, almost like he was in his own little world. He wasn’t into the fun stuff we were doing, the dodge ball, basketball, volleyball, weight lifting etc. just wasn’t his thing. He would show up and just take a back seat and observe.

Youth Camp in…
In January, I taught a class on camps and retreats in the Master’s in Youth Ministry program that YMI is directing. Their post-class assignment was to actually plan a camp. They worked out their schedules to put together two camps. One is happening this weekend, and the other happened a few weeks ago.

Expectations from My Students
We were talking in class on Tuesday about The Law of Expectation in the book “The Seven Laws of the Learner.” Basically, the Law of Expectations says that the teacher should adjust their expectations and expect the best from their students.
After telling them my expectations for them, I decided to ask them what their expectations were from me.
