I’m Gonna Change My Name
For some reason, yesterday at Popeyes, they asked me for my name. Actually, I know why they asked. It was because they took 20 minutes to fill my order even though we were some of the only ones in the restaurant.
Anyway, they asked me my name, and I told them Dennis, with the best pronunciation I could.

I couldn’t go to the National Youth Workers’ Convention in Sacramento this weekend, but because of the use of technology, I felt like I could have been there.
Adam did a great job with the use of technology, including live blogging, regular blogging, video wrap-ups, and twitter updates.
Seminary Anniversary
This week we’re celebrating the Seminary’s anniversary. So, I went to “La Iglesia Bautista Koinonia” today with two of the youth ministry students. I was sick, and I told Juan to be prepared to preach for me this morning.

There’s a new product coming to North America in the Fall of 2008 called Bible Illuminated. It is an oversized (8 ¼ x 11 ½), full-color, 264-page glossy magazine that has striking, provocative, contemporary photographs. It uses the Good News Translation (GNT) and it is aimed to be less intimidating than traditional Bibles.

I was sitting in Starbucks this morning, waiting for them to brew my coffee of the day, and I was approached by two women who handed me a flier about some apartments that are being constructed somewhere in the area.
I took the flier to be nice, and they asked me if I happened to be looking. I said, “No,” with a smile, and they said a few other things and left. Then I got to thinking about a few things.
